Menopause

The production of estrogen and progesterone naturally stops.
This interruption affects the psycho-physical level, manifesting some symptoms:

Hot
flashes
0%

They are due to excessive vasodilation at the skin level and thus an increase in skin temperature.

Vaginal
dryness
0%
Pain during
intercourse
0%

The vaginal mucosa thins,
altering its proper lubrication.

Emotional
instability
0%

The lack of estrogen results in lower levels of serotonin, the chemical that regulates emotions. It is physiological to feel more irritable, tired, or fatigued during this phase of life.

HOW CAN WE HELP YOU

Menopause occurs when the ovaries stop producing follicles and, therefore, hormone production that makes a woman fertile ceases. It usually occurs between the ages of 45 and 55, but women can observe irregular cycles or changes, such as heavy menstruation, a few months before this phase. However, there can only be a diagnosis when the menstrual cycle is absent for 12 consecutive months. To monitor woman during this transitional period, our medical staff prescribes gynecological visits with ultrasounds, as well as possible hormonal measurements to confirm the diagnosis. Menopause is not a disease but a physiological phase of life and must be faced with all the necessary support, both medical and psychological.

Early menopause is suspected when cycles are absent or sporadic in women under 40. Diagnosis is made through gynecological and ultrasound examinations and the measurement of certain hormones in the blood. Moreover, it is possible to conduct some tests to investigate the causes of early menopause and associated disorders, to evaluate the patient’s overall clinical picture. Our center also allows the evaluation of whether there is a genetic cause for the onset of early menopause.

Menopause represents an important moment in a woman’s life cycle, a sort of crisis also called “second puberty,” which brings with it both psychological and physical changes.

During the pathway, the following will be addressed:

  • fears and anxieties often induced by the emphasis society places on the physical and psychological disorders associated with menopause;
  • sleep disturbances, irritability, and nervousness connected to hormonal changes;
  • processing the loss of the menstrual cycle, linked to how each woman manages and experiences losses;
  • sexuality and the couple relationship.

If menopause arrives too early or if accompanied by significant symptoms, it is possible to access hormone replacement treatments, based on one’s clinical picture. Our center also offers innovative and effective non-hormonal treatments to alleviate the effects of menopause, such as:

  • Caress Flow, based on the combined action of molecular oxygen and hyaluronic acid, effectively intervenes in various pathologies such as vulvo-vaginal atrophy, urinary incontinence, and vaginal burning;
  • Biofeedback, useful for pelvic floor rehabilitation, using an electronic device. This non-invasive therapy has an 80% efficacy rate, which increases if specific pelvic floor exercises are added to the sessions.

It is proven that women in menopause find it much harder to control their weight. This happens because estrogen and progesterone levels decrease, slowing down metabolism. That’s why in this phase of life, women need to consume far fewer calories per day to maintain all vital functions. Our team of nutritionists is available to activate personalized nutrition programs tailored to the needs and necessities of each patient. Our nutrition experts provide all the tools to live menopause serenely, learning to appreciate your body and accept every single change.

Alleviating the most common symptoms of menopause is easy! The body is changing, it is less efficient in transforming nutrients into energy, and the need for vitamins and other nutrients increases.
Our team of experts has created a line of supplements to bring relief and well-being to women during this period full of changes.
Hot flashes, mood swings, and bone pain can be alleviated by taking natural-based supplements. Additionally, our center offers supplements useful for compensating for the nutritional deficiencies typical of this phase of life.
